In 2024, Dex Baker—a seasoned developer, architect, and leader with over 35 years of experience—recognized a critical gap in the training space: the need for a program that teaches AWS Cloud and shows how to solve real-world problems using tools like ChatGPT. Drawing from his time at Amazon and a career built on resilience and innovation, Dex launched Appasaurus to turn that vision into reality.
Fueled by a passion for teaching and a love of innovation, Dex launched Appasaurus with a clear mission: to help learners confidently master essential ChatGPT and AWS skills through immersive, hands-on demos rooted in practical use cases.
As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Dex brings discipline, resilience, and a deep sense of purpose to every training experience. He is especially committed to helping military veterans and career-changers successfully transition into meaningful roles in the tech industry.
